Or chooseth He daughters of all that He hath created, and honoureth He you with sons? 16 And if one of them is given the glad tidings of what he professes regarding the Most Gracious, his face blackens and he is mournful! 17 So is one brought up in ornaments while being during conflict unevident [attributed to Allah]? 18 They consider the angels, God's servants, to be female. Did they witness their creation? Their claim will be put on record and they will be questioned about it. 19 And they say, “If the Most Gracious had willed, we would not have worshipped them!” They do not know its truth at all; they only make guesses. 20 Or did We bestow upon them a Book before on whose authority they are holding on (to angel-worship)? 21 In fact they say: "We found our fathers following a certain way, and are guided by their footprints." 22 And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad SAW) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps." 23 ۞ Say: 'What, though I should bring you a better guidance than you found your fathers upon?' They say, 'We disbelieve in that you were sent with.' 24 Then We exacted retribution from them. So do consider the end of those who gave the lie (to the Prophets). 25
