And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 They (had experienced) under the Pharaoh. He was certainly a tyrant, guilty of excess. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And We gave them of signs that in which there was a clear trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them because they were indeed Mujrimun (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, criminals, etc.). 37 For [thus it is:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play: 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
