Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Did We fail in the first creation? But they are in confusion over a new creation. 15
