The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man. 3 Taught him the mode of expression. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees with their dates in sheaths, 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 25
