Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens they will question 40 From the guilty. 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
