Hizb 46
< random >
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 cannot mislead anyone 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
