Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
