Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
