۞ Those who have no desire to meet Us have said, "Would that the angels had been sent to us or that we could see our Lord." They are really filled with pride and have committed the greatest and worst kind of rebellion and hostility. 21 Upon the day that they see the angels, no good tidings that day for the sinners; they shall say, 'A ban forbidden!' 22 Then We shall advance upon the work which they have done and render it as scattered dust. 23 Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; 24 On a Day when the sky will split open with its clouds and the angels are sent down rank upon rank, 25 The real sovereignty will belong to Ar-Rahman. How grievous will be the day for the infidels! 26 and a Day on which the evildoer will bite his hands [in despair,] exclaiming: "Oh, would that I had followed the path shown to me by the apostle! 27 Woe alas, ah would I had not taken so-and-so as friend! 28 “He indeed led me astray from the advice that had come to me”; and Satan deserts man, leaving him unaided. 29 The Messenger says, 'O my Lord, behold, my people have taken this Koran as a thing to be shunned.' 30 Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help. 31 Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually. 32 Every time they raise an objection, We will bring you the truth and the best of explanations. 33 Those who will be pushed faces forward into Hell will be in a worse position, farther away from the path. 34
