Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Have they not observed the sky above them and marked how We have built it and adorned it, leaving no flaws in it; 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 And before them the people of Nuh belied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
