Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
