The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
