Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
