Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
