Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
