And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. 27 And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. 28 “Therefore when I have properly fashioned him and breathed into him a chosen noble soul from Myself, fall down before him in prostration.” 29 then the angels all prostrated themselves together. 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 The Lord inquired: "Iblis! What is the matter with you that you did not join those who prostrated?" 32 (Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom Thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape." 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 Iblis prayed, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Judgment". 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 Said he, 'My Lord, for Thy perverting me I shall deck all fair to them in the earth, and I shall pervert them, all together, 39 "Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 No power shall you have over (all) My creatures except those who fall into error and follow you, 42 For whom the ordained place is surely Hell, 43 To it are seven gates: for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
