Do not these unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were an integrated mass, then We split them and made every living thing from water? Will they not believe even then? 30 And We have made great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with them, and We have made in it wide ways that they may follow a right direction. 31 And We made the sky a well-protected roof. Still they turn away from His signs! 32 It is He who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each floating in an orbit. 33 And before you, We did not appoint on earth a never-ending life for any human; will they, if you depart, become immortal? 34 Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial. to Us must ye return. 35 But [thus it is:] whenever they who are bent on denying the truth consider thee, they make thee but a target of their mockery, [saying to one another,] "Is this the one who speaks [so contemptuously] of your gods?" and yet, it is they themselves who, at [every] mention of the Most Gracious, are wont to deny the truth! 36 The human was created of haste. Indeed, I will show you My signs; so do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 They say: 'If you are truthful, when will this promise come' 38 If only the unbelievers knew of the Hour when they shall not be able to keep off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; nor shall they be helped. 39 It will overtake them suddenly, dumbfounding them. They shall be unable to ward it off, and they shall not be respited. 40 Mocked were (many) messenger before thee; But their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked. 41
