The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 who observe Zakah; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These are the heirs 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
