The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
