Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known extent. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
