Prostration
< random >
(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
