Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partner unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto Him). 64 O people of the Book, why dispute about Abraham? The Torah and the Gospel were sent down after him: Do you not understand? 65 Behold! you are they who disputed about that of which you had knowledge; why then do you dispute about that of which you have no knowledge? And Allah knows while you do not know. 66 Abraham was not a Jew or a Christian. He was an upright person who had submitted himself to the will of God. Abraham was not a pagan. 67 Verily the nearest of mankind to Ibrahim, surely those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe; and Allah is the Patron of the believers. 68 A group among the People given the Book(s) desire that if only they could lead you astray; and they only make themselves astray, and they do not have sense. 69 O people of the Book! wherefore disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah whereas ye bear witness? 70 O People of the Scripture, why do you confuse the truth with falsehood and conceal the truth while you know [it]? 71
