Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Has the news of the overwhelming event reached you? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 Pleased with their striving,- 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 In it there shall be a flowing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?- 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves – 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 Surely to Us is their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
