The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them; Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 And so also shall our forefathers of yore be raised to life?” 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
