The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
