And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
