۞ Say those who look not to encounter Us, 'Why have the angels not been sent down on us, or why see we not our Lord?' Waxed proud they have within them, and become greatly disdainful. 21 [Yet] on that Day - the Day on which they shall see the angels there will be no glad tiding for those who were lost in sin; and they will exclaim, "By a forbidding ban [are we from God's grace debarred]!" 22 And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about. 23 The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. 24 And (remember) the Day when the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and the angels will be sent down, with a grand descending. 25 the true Kingdom on that Day shall belong to the Merciful a harsh day for the unbelievers. 26 Upon that Day the harmdoer shall bite his hands, and say: 'Would that I had taken a Path with the Messenger! 27 Woe to us! Would that we had not been friends with so and so. 28 “He indeed led me astray from the advice that had come to me”; and Satan deserts man, leaving him unaided. 29 The prophet will say: "O my Lord, my people had fettered the Qur'an." 30 O Muhammad, in this very way We have made the criminals the enemies of every Prophet, but your Lord suffices for you as your Guide and Helper. 31 The disbelievers say, "Why has not the entire Qur'an been sent down to this man all at once?" -Well, this has been done to impress it deeply on your mind, and (for the same object) We have sent it down piecemeal by degrees. 32 They bring not to thee any similitude but that We bring thee the truth, and better in exposition. 33 The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. 34
