The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is wound up; 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 that hide, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 The rising dawn, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
