Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 covered down upon them, 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
