And We had certainly sent Noah to his people, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah; you have no deity other than Him; then will you not fear Him?" 23 The leaders of his people who denied the truth, said, "He is only a human being like yourselves who wants to make himself superior to you. If God had wished, He would have sent down angels. We never heard about this from our forefathers. 24 He is only a man possessed; so wait and watch him for a time." 25 [Nuh (Noah)] said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me." 26 So We inspired him (saying): "Construct the ship under Our Eyes and under Our Revelation (guidance). Then, when Our Command comes, and the oven gushes forth water, take on board of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except those thereof against whom the Word has already gone forth. And address Me not in favour of those who have done wrong. Verily, they are to be drowned. 27 “And when you and those with you have safely boarded the ship say, ‘All praise is to Allah Who has rescued us from the unjust.’” 28 And pray, “My Lord! Cause me to alight at a blessed place – and You are the Best of all who bring to settle.” 29 Verily in that are signs; verily We have ever been provers. 30 AND AFTER those [people of old] We gave rise to new generations; 31 And we sent among them a messenger of their own, saying: Serve Allah, Ye have no other Allah save Him.
