The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 And heed not when they are reminded, 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
