The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters, 181 weigh with an even balance 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191
