When God said: "O Jesus, I will take you to Myself and exalt you, and rid you of the infidels, and hold those who follow you above those who disbelieve till the Day of Resurrection. You have then to come back to Me when I will judge between you in what you were at variance." 55 Then as to those who disbelieve, I will chastise them with severe chastisement in this world and the hereafter, and they shall have no helpers. 56 But as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, He will give them in full their rewards, and Allah does not like the wrongdoers. 57 What We recite to you consists of signs and wise admonition. 58 To God the case of Jesus is as that of Adam whom He created from the earth and then said, "Exist," and Adam came into existence. 59 This is the truth from thy Lord, wherefore be thou not of those who dubitate. 60 Tell whoever disputes with you on this matter after true knowledge has come to you: 'Come! Let us summon our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, and then let us pray together and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie.' 61 Verily this! it is the true recital; and God there is none save Allah, and verily Allah! He is the Mighty, the Wise. 62 If they turn away, Allah knows the evildoers. 63
