A multitude from the ancients. 39 And a numerous company from among the last. 40 BUT AS FOR those who have persevered in evil - what of those who have persevered in evil? 41 mid burning winds and boiling waters 42 And shadow of black smoke, 43 which will neither be cool nor soothing. 44 They had been affluent before, 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 and they used to say, "What! After we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up again? 47 And so will our fathers?" 48 Say: "Indeed, the earlier and the later generations 49 shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. 50 Then lo! ye, the erring, the deniers, 51 will eat from the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 and will have to fill your bellies therewith, 53 And drinking on top of it from scalding water 54 You shall drink it as the thirsty camels drink." 55 Thus shall they be entertained on the Day of Recompense. 56 We created you. Will ye then admit the truth? 57 Have you ever considered that [seed] which you emit? 58 Do ye create it or are We the Creator? 59 We have [indeed] decreed that death shall be [ever-present] among you: but there is nothing to prevent Us 60 In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not. 61 You certainly knew about (your) first development. Why do you not take heed? 62 Behold! that which ye sow. 63 Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer? 64 If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim: 65 "Verily, we are ruined! 66 Nay, but we have been deprived [of our livelihood]!" 67 Behold! the water which ye drink: 68 Is it you who sent it down from the clouds or is it We who have sent it down? 69 If We pleased, We would have made it salty; why do you not then give thanks? 70 Behold! the fire which ye strike out: 71 Is it you who grew its tree, or is it We Who create? 72 We have made it a Reminder (for the Hell-fire, in the Hereafter); and an article of use for the travellers (and all the others, in this world). 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
Click or tap the small triangles above and below the frame on the left to display the Juz Table of Contents where you can go to any Juz, Hizb, ¾, ½, ¼, or any page within.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
