The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 in truth he saw him (Gabriel) on the clear horizon, 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 So where are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
