Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble recorders, 11 Who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
