The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
