And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
