The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
