And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
