Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They shall say: O our Lord! our adversity overcame us and we were an erring people: 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 What! did you then think that We had created you in vain and that you shall not be returned to Us? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
