The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 Then [Musa (Moses)] showed him the great sign (miracles). 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
