Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
