The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the morning brightness, 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
