Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said: "Verily! You are people unknown to me." 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: Lo! they are my guests. Affront me not! 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 An explosion struck them at sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Indeed in that are signs for those who discern. 75 The place (where this occurred) lies along a known route. 76 Most surely there is a sign in this for the believers. 77 The people of the Wood were also surely wrongdoers. 78 and We took vengeance on them. The two of them were upon a roadway manifest. 79
