And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam, they made obeisance, but Iblis (did it not); he refused. 116 So We said, "O Adam, indeed this is an enemy to you and to your wife. Then let him not remove you from Paradise so you would suffer. 117 Verily it is thine that thou shalt not hunger therein nor go naked. 118 “And that you never feel thirsty nor hot sunshine hurt you.” 119 But Satan whispered evil to him: he said, "O Adam! shall I lead thee to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that never decays?" 120 They both ate the fruit of this tree, and so they became conscious of their nakedness and began to cover themselves with the leaves of the Garden. Thus Adam disobeyed his Lord and fell into error. 121 Then his Lord chose him, and turned to him with forgiveness, and gave him guidance. 122 [Allah] said, "Descend from Paradise - all, [your descendants] being enemies to one another. And if there should come to you guidance from Me - then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray [in the world] nor suffer [in the Hereafter]. 123 Whoever ignores My guidance will live a woeful life and will be brought in Our presence blind on the Day of Judgment. 124 He will say: My Lord! Wherefor hast Thou gathered me (hither) blind, when I was wont to see? 125 He will say: Even so, Our communications came to you but you neglected them; even thus shall you be forsaken this day. 126 In this way We recompense the prodigal who disbelieves the verses of his Lord. But the punishment of the Everlasting Life is more terrible and everlasting. 127 Do they not learn a lesson from Our destruction of many generations before them in whose dwelling-places they walk about? Surely in this are signs for men of understanding. 128

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
