S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Sad. By the Koran, containing the Remembrance -- 1 Those who deny the truth are steeped in arrogance and hostility. 2 How many a generation We have destroyed before them, and they cried out when there was no longer time for escape! 3 Now they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Has he turned so many gods into one deity? This is indeed a strange thing!" 5 And their leaders launch forth [thus]: "Go ahead, and hold steadfastly onto your deities: this, behold, is the only thing to do! 6 "We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!" 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower? 9 Or is it that the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them is theirs? If so, let them ascend up with means (to the heavens)! 10 But there - will be put to flight even a host of confederates. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 And the Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the dwellers of the wood; these were the confederates. 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
