And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and sent them revelations of which some were a clear trial for them. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those afore them? We destroyed them; verily they were culprits. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Except those upon whom Allah has mercy; indeed He only is the Most Honourable, the Most Merciful. 42
