The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars darken, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the books are spread, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
