The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
